looking around at times and watching the world move at such a hurried pace our lives are over in a flash of time against eternity. Its is sad that we all get sucked into the trappings of this world and lose sight of what is important. We spend the majority of our time working to pay bills and become so busy trying to get a better life we actually end up missing the one we are given. Time slips away and then suddenly your middle aged and all the things that you took for granted are now a memory.

Pro 20:29 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head.

1Pe_1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

The thing that helps me keep my sanity in this insane place is my Hope and promise of Eternity and that this life is not all there is.

1Co_2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Sad how most people fly through a lifetime and never fully prepare for the last chapter. People spend more time preparing to go on vacation then they do preparing for their inevitable end. No one wants to be bothered or reminded that NONE of us get out of here alive, yet when confronted about it or if it is brought up in conversation they become uncomfortable, insecure, defensive and sometimes even get upset. We all live in denial thinking “Yes the Sun will surely rise tomorrow”

Jas_4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Sadly Satan did a wonderful job blinding and confusing the masses by creating so many distractions and mixed religious messages that no one knows which way is up.

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

2Co_4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

I personally choose to put my Faith in My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and trust what my Bible says about my eternal state. I choose faith and rest on the authority of the oldest book written regarding the condition and redemption of mankind. I just don’t have any faith in this world or the things it has to offer.

Act_2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

Job_33:25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth:

Everything we touch fades away like a leaf falling off an autumn tree.

Isa_64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

I choose to rest in the hope of something better when I die, to see the loved ones that have gone before me and to be re-united with them in eternity. After all what is the alternative, Fade to black and cease to exist? I don’t know how anyone could find any comfort in that. Sad that this life is all that most people will ever experience any peace in.

Lam_5:5 Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.

According to scripture we are all separated from God by the condition in which we enter this world, SINNERS admitting that to your self is the first step in realizing our problem as a people. Just watch the news

Psa_51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Yep there is that pesky word that judges us the moment we hear it.

Rom_3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Thank God Jesus Christ intervened on my behalf and nailed my mess to the foot of His Cross.

Col_2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Rom_4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

I am grateful GOD made salvation a simple thing because Churches and Men make it complicated, Scripture makes it easy.

Joh_14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Salvation is received in a moment of trusting belief, True Christianity is developed over time through plenty of mistakes and little triumphs.

I am no doubt a work in progress and no better then anyone else.

I am just forgiven, ARE YOU?
